These red hockey gloves by Cooper were game worn by Al Karlander while playing for the Detroit Red Wings. Karlander was drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in the 1st round of the 1967 NHL Entry Draft, making him the first collegiate player ever drafted into the NHL. Overal, Al played in four NHL seasons, all with the Red Wings as well as stops in the WHA with the New England Whalers and Indianapolis Racers.
These red Cooper Gloves have the player number “15” on the cuff (only the right glove as the stickers on the left glove have come off). The gloves show heavy game use with holes in palms.
