This road white air-knit gamer by Adidas was worn by Kasperi Kapanen during the 2017-18 NHL season. The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Kapanen in the 1st round of the 2014 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Kuopio, Finland was traded by Pittsburgh to Toronto as the key component of the Phil Kessel deal. After spending a few seasons in Europe and a brief time in the AHL, Kapanen made his NHL debut with the Leafs in 2015-16 where he has spent parts of four seasons roaming the wing. During Kasperi’s first full season this past year, at just 22 years of age, he netted 20-goals and 44 points while going +12 for the Leafs.
The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Kasperi wearing this exact jersey during the 2017-18 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Toronto Maple Leafs game worn jersey tagging. A nice photo matched offering from the beginning of Kapanen’s career. This jersey will be accompanied by a Maple Leafs team letter.
