2016-17 Ryan O’Reilly Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #193

This home blue air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Ryan O’Reilly during the 2016-17 NHL season. The Colorado Avalanche selected O’Reilly in the 2nd round of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft. O’Reilly jumped right from juniors to the Avalanche where he played for 6 seasons and won a Lady Byng Memorial Trophy before joining the Buffalo Sabres for a three year stint. O’Reilly joined the St. Louis Blues in 2018-19 and enjoyed his best season to date, scoring 28 goals and 77 points. When the playoffs rolled around, this Center added 8 goals and 15 assists for 23 points en route to the first Stanley Cup Championship in franchise history. O’Reilly was awarded the Conn Smythe Trophy as playoff MVP and also earned the 2018-19 Frank J. Selke Trophy as the NHL’s top defensive forward.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Sewn to the right sleeve is the NHL’s 100-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 sweater is on the lighter side with some stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of O’Reilly wearing this exact jersey during the 2016-17 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Buffalo Sabres game worn jersey tagging. A beautiful photo matched example complete with letter of honor worn by the reigning Selke and Conn Smythe Trophy winner. This jersey will be accompanied by a Sabres team letter.
