2014-15 Ray Emery Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey - Lindros-Leclair Hall of Fame Night - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #82

This home orange air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Ray Emery during the 2014-15 NHL season. The Ottawa Senators selected Emery in the 4th round of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft. This Hamilton native made his NHL debut with the Senators in 2002-03 and spent 5 seasons with the club. During that span he led Ottawa to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2007. After leaving Ottawa, Emery spent a year in the KHL before returning to the NHL in 2009-10 with the Philadelphia Flyers. The Flyers would make a run to the Stanley Cup Finals later that spring but it would be without their goalie who was sidelined for the remainder of the season after discovering he had avascular neurosis in December. Ray made it back into the NHL in 2010-11 with the Anaheim Ducks and then signed with the Chicago Blackhawks in the summer of 2011.

Emery spent two seasons with the Hawks and won the Stanley Cup in 2012-13, a record-setting year for the goalie. He set an NHL record by recording 12 straight wins to start the 2012-13 season. In April of 2013, Ray established a franchise record with his 3rd shutout in 5 games. He finished the 2012-13 season with the 3rd best GAA in the NHL, posting a 1.94 GAA and an incredible 17 Wins and 3 ties against only 1 loss for the entire season! He and teammate Corey Crawford shared the Jennings Trophy for their combined excellence between the pipes that year and celebrated the Stanley Cup later that spring. Following the Cup win, Emery returned to Philadelphia where he played the last two seasons of his NHL career. Sadly, Ray passed away at 35 years of age after drowning in Lake Ontario.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the John Leclair-Eric Lindros Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame patch. On November 20, 2014 the Philadelphia Flyers honored two of their past stars, John Leclair and Eric Lindros by inducting them into the Flyers Hall of Fame. The game wear on this size 58 Goalie cut sweater consists of stick and puck marks and plenty of goal post paint transfer on both sleeves. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Emery wearing this exact jersey during the aforementioned game. Sewn to the inner verso is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Philadelphia Flyers Hall of Fame Game tagging. A terrific photo matched example that was worn on the night that the Flyers honored their Legion of Doom Hall of Fame inductees. This jersey will be accompanied by a Flyers team letter.
