The Minnesota Wild selected Gaborik with the 3rd overall pick in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft. This Slovakian native began his NHL career with the Wild in 2000-01 and there he stayed for the first 8 years of his career. After leaving Minnesota, Marian played for the Rangers for parts of four seasons until a deadline deal sent him to Columbus where he played for parts of two more seasons. Marian joined the LA Kings during the 2013-14 season and won a Stanley Cup in his first year with his new squad, netting an impressive 14 goals and 22 points in 26 playoff games. Gaborik played in three NHL All Star games and was named a 2nd Team NHL All Star in 2011-12. To his credit are three different 40-goal seasons, a Stanley Cup and an impressive 407 career goals.
