2013-14 Ben Harpur Guelph Storm Game Worn Jersey – “2014 London Memorial Cup” - Photo Match
Lot #279

This road red air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Ben Harpur during the 2013-14 Memorial Cup. The Ottawa Senators selected Harpur in the 4th round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. This 6’ 6” defenseman played four seasons of junior hockey in the OHL before making his NHL debut in 2015-16 with the Senators. Harpur spent four years on the Sens blueline before joining the Toronto organization prior to the start of the 2019-20 season.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2014 Memorial Cup patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and heavy team-sewn repair work from the front collar heading towards the crest. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Harpur wearing this exact jersey during Game 6 of the Memorial Cup playoff against the London Knights, a 7-2 victory for the Storm. Guelph of course finished runner-up to the Edmonton Oil Kings for the Memorial Cup Championship. A well-worn photo matched Memorial Cup gamer worn by this towering NHL defenseman during his junior career.
