2012-13 Mike Richards Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #165

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Mike Richards during the 2012-13 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Richards in the 1st round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. This Ontario native spent 4 years with the Kitchener Rangers in the OHL before joining the Flyers organization. Richards spent 6 seasons wearing the Flyers orange and black and wore the Captain’s “C” while helping lead them to the Stanley Cup Finals in 2010 where he tallied 23 points in 23 games while falling to the Chicago Blackhawks. Mike was dealt to the Los Angeles Kings in 2011-12 and he won a Stanley Cup later that spring, chipping in 15 points in 20 post-season games. Two seasons later Mike made his third trip to the Stanley Cup Finals in a five-year span, helping the Kings to the 2014 Stanley Cup Championship after playing 26 grueling playoff contests. Mike joined the Washington Capitals in 2015-16 for one final NHL season before retiring. Richards was a two-time 30 Goal scorer, an NHL All Star and a 2-time Stanley Cup Champion who played in a surprising 136 playoff games during his 11-year NHL career.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Richards wearing this exact jersey during the 2012-13 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Los Angeles Kings game worn jersey tagging. A nice photo matched example complete with letter of honor that was worn in defense of the Kings first Stanley Cup title. This jersey will be accompanied by a Kings team letter.
