2012-13 Ed Mio NHL Alumni Game Worn Jersey - Rivals for Relief - Stan Lee Letter
Lot #120
This black air-knit gamer by Sportzbiz was worn by Ed Mio during the 2012-13 Rivals for Relief game at Madison Square Garden to benefit Hurricane Sandy relief efforts. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Mio in the 7th round of the 1974 NHL Amateur Draft. After playing his college hockey at Colorado College, this Windsor native made his WHA debut in 1977-78 with the Indianapolis Racers. Mio finished his WHA career with the Edmonton Oilers and he transferred with the franchise to the NHL in the 1979-80 expansion. Following a couple of NHL seasons between the pipes for the Oilers, Mio backstopped the New York Rangers for a couple of years and then finished up his NHL career with three seasons in Detroit.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the New York Rangers hockey club patch. Sewn to the right shoulder is the sponsorship patch. The sleeves on this jersey have been scissor cut shortened. Light but obvious game wear exists on this size XL sweater. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Mio’s own hand. This jersey will be accompanied by a Stan Lee letter.
