Description
2011-12 Troy Brouwer Washington Capitals Game Worn Jersey – “Lokomotiv” - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #92

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Troy Brouwer during the 2011-12 NHL season. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Brouwer in the 7th round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. After 5 seasons with the Hawks, that included a much-celebrated Stanley Cup title, Troy joined the Washington Capitals where he played for 4 seasons. Following his time in Washington, Brouwer represented the St. Louis Blues, Calgary Flames and most recently the Florida Panthers.

On October 13, 2011, the Pittsburgh Penguins played host to the Washington Capitals. On that night the Penguins and Capitals teamed up to raise money for the families of Lokomotiv Yaroslavl, the KHL team that perished in a plane crash on September 7, 2011 in Russia. Each player wore and autographed one jersey that night and directed the proceeds to the Lokomotiv players’ children and families.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the “Lokomotiv” patch. The game wear on this size 58 sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Brouwer wearing this exact jersey during the aforementioned game. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Brouwer’s own hand. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Capitals team letter.
