This blue alternate air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Steven Stamkos during the 2011-12 NHL season. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Stamkos with the first overall pick in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. This Ontario native has lived up to the massive hype and is looked upon as one of this generation’s premiere goal scorers. Stamkos, who missed significant time due to injury in a couple of different seasons, is compiling wildly impressive career statistics. Heading into the 2019-20 season, this 29-year old had played in 746 games over the course of 11 NHL seasons. During that time this perennial All Star is producing at better than a point per game and had lit the lamp 393 times, leading the NHL in goals and winning the Maurice “Rocket” Richard Trophy in 2010 with 51 and 2012 with 60. Steven has also finished runner up in goals on three occasions and was the Art Ross Trophy runner up twice. Stamkos is coming off of a career best 98-point season, has two 2nd Team NHL All Star selections at Center to his credit and has played in 6 NHL All Star Games.
Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The sleeves on this jersey have been customized for Stamkos by the team. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and in excess of a half dozen material backed team repairs. Shown above are some beautiful photo matches of Stamkos wearing this exact jersey during the 2011-12 season. A beautiful black sharpie signature in Stamkos’ own hand can be found on the back player number. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Tampa Bay Lightning game worn jersey tagging. An incredible well-worn photo matched Bolts alternate, complete with the coveted letter of honor and hailing from Stamkos’ award-laden 2011-12 season that saw him lead the NHL in scoring with a career best 60 goals, choice!
