2011-12 Claude Giroux Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey – “2 - Mark Howe Night” - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #137

This home orange air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Claude Giroux during the 2011-12 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Giroux in the 1st round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Following an outstanding junior career, Giroux made his NHL debut with Philadelphia in 2007-08 and played in a mere 2 contests. Claude has since become the Flyers team Captain and has now spent parts of 11 seasons in the NHL, all with the Flyers. Giroux has averaged nearly a point per game thus far in his regular and post-season career. Claude has finished top 3 in the NHL scoring race on three occasions including this past year as he finished 2nd in NHL scoring to only Connor McDavid, passing the 100-point mark for the first time in his career. Claude also led the league in assists for the first time in his career, posting a career best 68 helpers. Giroux has already played in 5 NHL All Star games and he is a Hart Trophy Finalist for NHL MVP for the 2nd time in his career. Claude is the cornerstone upon which the Flyers are building their future.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Sewn to the right breast is the 2 Mark Howe Flyers patch. The game wear on this Mark Howe Night size 52 sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected. Giroux wore this jersey during the 1st and 2nd periods of the March 6, 2012 game that saw Philadelphia defeat Detroit 3-2 as Mark Howe’s player #2 went to the rafters, never to be worn again in Philadelphia. Giroux scored a goal and added an assist for 2 points while wearing this exact jersey during the March 6, 2012 game. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photos of Giroux scoring his goal and celebrating his assist while wearing this exact jersey on Mark Howe Night! Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Philadelphia Flyers game worn jersey tagging. A Beautiful patched and photo matched example complete with the letter of honor from Mark Howe Night in Philadelphia, choice! This jersey will be accompanied by a Flyers team letter.
