2010-11 Matt Greene Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey - Vintage - Photo Matched - Team Letter
Lot #90
This purple Vintage alternate air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Matt Greene during the 2010-11 NHL season. The Edmonton Oilers selected Greene in the 2nd round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. This Michigan native played three seasons of college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota before making his NHL debut in 2005-06 with the Oilers. As a rookie that season, Greene found a spot on the Oilers blueline and his hard-nosed edge helped his team to the Stanley Cup Finals where they fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in a brilliant 7-game series. Greene spent three years with the Oilers before joining the Los Angeles Kings where he played on their blueline for 9 seasons and won the 2012 and 2014 Stanley Cups.

According to the Kings LOA, this sweater was worn by Greene on February 24, 2011 against the Minnesota Wild. As would be expected the game wear on this size 58 sweater is on the lighter side. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Greene wearing his purple Vintage on the date specified. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Los Angeles Kings game worn jersey tagging. A nice photo matched Vintage alternate worn by this two-time Stanley Cup Champion. This jersey will be accompanied by a Kings team letter.
