2010-11 Kerby Rychel Windsor Spitfires Game Worn Jersey – “18 - Mickey Renaud Tribute” – Team Letter
Lot #223

This home blue air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Kerby Rychel during the 2010-11 OHL season. The Columbus Blue Jackets selected Rychel in the 1st round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. Following a four-year junior career that saw Rychel represent Mississauga, Windsor and Guelph, this Torrance, CA native made his NHL debut with the Columbus Blue Jackets in 2014-15. Rychel has represented the Blue Jackets, Canadiens and Flames thus far during his four-year NHL career.

Sewn to the chest of this gamer is the official #18 Mickey Renaud crest. Sewn to the front left hip is Renaud’s “18”. The Spitfires wore this set of jerseys during three home games on and around the 3rd anniversary of their former Captain’s tragic death, which occurred on February 18, 2008. This is an annual tradition as Windsor pays tribute to their former player. The game wear on this commemorative set size 56 sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected with some board burns most worthy of mention. Shown above is a photo of Rychel taken during one of the 2012 Renaud tribute games. A nice junior offering of this former 1st round NHL draft choice. This jersey will be accompanied by a Spitfires team letter.
