2010-11 Derek Smith Binghamton Senators Game Worn Jersey – “2011 Calder Cup” – “75-year Anniversary” – Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #365

This black air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Derek Smith during the 2010-11 Calder Cup Championship season. After playing his college hockey at Lake Superior State, Smith made his NHL debut in 2009-10 with the Ottawa Senators where he played for a couple of years. Derek next represented the Calgary Flames for three seasons before finishing up his career in the KHL. Smith also spent some time in the AHL and won the Calder Cup in 2010-11 as a member of the Binghamton Senators where he is considered an all-time great.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the 2011 Calder Cup patch. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. Sewn to the back hem is the AHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 58 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Smith wearing this exact jersey during the 2010-11 season. A tremendous multi-patched and photo matched example that was worn by one of the Senators all-time great defenseman during their first and only Calder Cup Championship winning season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Binghamton Senators team letter.
