After playing his college hockey at the University of Minnesota, this Grand Rapids, MN native made his NHL debut with a 3-game stint for the Penguins in 2007-08. Alex remained in Pittsburgh for parts of 4 seasons and won the 2009 Stanley Cup in the process before joining the Dallas Stars where he played for 6 years prior to joining the Arizona Coyotes, his home for the past several seasons.
