Description
2009 Semyon Varlamov Washington Capitals Practice Worn Jersey
Lot #258
This black knit practice jersey by Jofa was worn by Semyon Varlamov during the 2009 NHL season. The Washington Capitals selected Varlamov in the 1st round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. Semyon, who hails from Samara Russia, made his NHL debut in 2008-09, playing in 6 regular season games and then 13 more in the playoffs. He served as the team’s backup the following two seasons as he partook in 26 and 27 games respectively before joining the Colorado Avalanche in 2011-12. It seems that Colorado has found their man between the pipes as Varlamov took over the bulk of the workload since joining the team and hasn’t given up his spot yet some 3 years later.

This goalie cut size 60 practice jersey features typical use with stick and puck marks and pilling being most worthy of mention.
