2009 John Vigilante Detroit Red Wings Training Camp Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match
Lot #220

This white air-knit jersey by Reebok was worn by John Vigilante during training camp in 2009. This Dearborn, MI native played his junior hockey with Plymouth in the OHL before embarking on a professional career that begun in 2006-07 in the AHL. Vigilante spent four years in the AHL before finishing up his career in 2013 in Europe. John served as a coach for the Plymouth Whalers in 2014-15 and was a Head Coach for a U19 Detroit area Girls Hockey Program at the time of his death in 2018.

The wear on this size 56 sweater consists of Edge material pulls, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Vigilante wearing this exact jersey during training camp in 2009. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey and set tagging. Alongside are the Red Wings alphanumeric code as well as the team barcode. A nice photo matched example of this popular figure that tragically lost his life at 33 years of age.
