This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Rick Rypien during the 2009-10 NHL season. This undrafted Coleman, ALTA native made his NHL debut in 2005-06 with the Vancouver Canucks where he played his entire 119-game NHL career. Rypien was always up for a good donnybrook and averaged a couple of PIMS per game. Rick battled clinical depression throughout his career, which included a couple of personal leaves of absence. Following the 2010-11 season, on August 15, 2011, Rypien sadly took his own life.
The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, cuff pilling and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Rypien wearing this exact jersey during the 2009-10 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Beautiful photo matched offering of this popular player whose life ended far too soon. This jersey will be accompanied by a Canucks team letter.
