2009-10 Matt Martin New York Islanders Game Worn Jersey – Rookie – Photo Match - Team Letter
Lot #191

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Matt Martin during the 2009-10 NHL season. The New York Islanders selected Martin in the 5th round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. Martin made his NHL debut with the Islanders in 2009-10. He played for the team that drafted him for 7 seasons before joining the Toronto Maple Leafs in 2016-17. Through last season, this tough guy had racked up 803 PIMS in 520 games played, with a handful of triple digit PIMS seasons already to his credit.

The game wear on this size 58 sweater is on the lighter side with some stitch popping and team-sewn repair work to the collar. According to game logs from 2009-10, Martin played in just one road game as a rookie. It was against the Pittsburgh Penguins on February 10, 2010. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Martin wearing his road white taken during the aforementioned game. Sewn to the inside hem is the official New York Islanders game worn jersey tagging. A nice rookie offering from the only season that saw Martin wear the player number 46. This jersey will be accompanied by an Islanders team letter.
