Description
2009-10 Jay McKee Pittsburgh Penguins Game Worn Jersey Alternate - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #156

This blue air-knit alternate gamer by Reebok was worn by Jay McKee during the 2009-10 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected McKee in the 1st round of the 1995 NHL Entry Draft. McKee made his NHL debut in 1995-96 with Buffalo and spent 10 seasons with the club before joining the St. Louis Blues for three seasons. McKee completed his career with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009-10. Since leaving his playing days behind him, McKee joined the coaching ranks and served as the Head Coach for the Kitchener Rangers.

The game wear on this alternate set size 58+ sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, material pulls, areas of heavy pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of McKee wearing this exact jersey during the 2009-10 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Pittsburgh Penguins game worn jersey and set tagging. On the fight strap is a beautiful blue sharpie signature in the equipment man’s own hand. A nice photo matched offering from this veteran defenseman’s final NHL season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Penguins team letter.
