2009-10 Benn Ferriero San Jose Sharks Game Worn Jersey Rookie - Photo Match
Lot #235

This home teal gamer by Reebok was worn by Benn Ferriero during the 2009-10 NHL season, his rookie year as well as in the 2010-11 Young Stars tournament. The Phoenix Coyotes selected Ferriero in the 7th round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. This Essex, MA native played his college hockey at Boston College and graduated in 2009. Ferriero made his NHL debut with the San Jose Sharks in 2009-10. He called San Jose home for 3 seasons before playing short stints with the New York Rangers and Vancouver Canucks.

Removed from the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The game wear on this 1st set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Feriero wearing this exact jersey. One of the matches is to a game from October 2009, early in his rookie season, while the other dates to September 2010 at the Young Stars tournament. According to the Sharks tagging, this gamer was worn by Ferriero beginning on September 22, 2009 – October 7, 2010. Sewn to the inside hem is the official San Jose Sharks game worn jersey tagging. A well-worn photo matched gamer from this Boston College Alum’s rookie season.
