Lot #303

This red air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Zach Boychuk during the 2008 ADT Canada Russia Challenge. The Carolina Hurricanes selected Boychuk in the 1st round of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. This Alberta native made his NHL debut in 2008-09 with the Hurricanes where he played for his first four NHL seasons. Zach would go on to play for the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators before returning to Carolina where he played for several more years to complete his 7-year NHL career.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2008 Canada-Russia Challenge patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of some stick marks, board burns and inner pilling. Team WHL went 2-0 against the Russians, winning by the score of 5-0 and 2-1. In all, Canada won 5 of the 6 games in the series.
