After playing for the US Junior National Team and the University of Maine, Howard began his NHL career with the Red Wings in 2005-06. Howard has spent his entire 6-year NHL career with Detroit where he assumed the starter’s role in 2009-10. Howard made his first NHL All Star game appearance in 2012 on the strength of 35 Wins, 6 by way of shutout and a sparkling 2.13 GAA.
