Lot #168

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Brett Lebda during the 2008-09 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Finals. This undrafted native of Buffalo Grove, IL spent a couple of years playing for the US Junior National Team before playing his college hockey at Notre Dame University. Brett made his NHL debut in 2005-06 with Detroit and spent the first 5 years of his NHL career in the Motor City. Lebda also represented the Maple Leafs and Blue Jackets where he played his last NHL season in 2011-12. Lebda was a regular on the Red Wings blueline as they went to consecutive Stanley Cup Finals in 2008 and ‘09, walking away with his one and only Stanley Cup ring in 2008.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2009 Stanley Cup Finals patch. The game wear on this playoff set size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, material pulls, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Shown above are some beautiful photo matches of Lebda wearing this exact jersey during the 2009 Stanley Cup Playoffs and Finals. Sewn to the inside hip is the official Detroit Red Wings game worn jersey and set tagging. Screened directly above is the Red Wings alpha-numeric identifier. A beautiful photo matched offering from the Stanley Cup Finals. This jersey will be accompanied by a Red Wings team letter.
