2007-08 Vincent Lecavalier Tampa Bay Lightning Game Worn Jersey - King Clancy Memorial Trophy - All Star Season - 40-Goal, 92-Point Season - Photo Match
Lot #109

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Vincent Lecavalier during the 2007-08 NHL season. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Lecavalier with the 1st pick in the 1998 NHL Entry Draft. He had spent his entire career with the Tampa Bay Lightning, before signing with the Philadelphia Flyers prior to the 2013-14 NHL season. Vinny spent his last year in the league with the LA Kings prior to announcing his retirement. He scored 421 goals and 949 points during his 17 NHL seasons. He was the winner of the Maurice “Rocket” Richard trophy in 2006-07 as the league’s leading goal scorer with 52, a year that also saw him net a career best 108 points.

In 2007-08 Vinny won the King Clancy Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the player who best exemplifies leadership qualities on and off the ice and has made a noteworthy humanitarian contribution to his community. Lecavalier has a 2nd Team NHL All Star selection to his credit and is a 4-time NHL All Star. On the international stage, Vincent represented Team Canada in the 2004 World Cup of Hockey and the 2006 Olympics. Lecavalier’s most important career accomplishment came during the 2003-04 playoff march as he and the Lightning captured their first and only Stanley Cup Championship.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 1st set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, Edge material pulls, inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. Shown above are some beautiful photo matches of Lecavalier wearing this exact jersey during the 2007-08 NHL season. The Lightning changed the “A” from a larger version to the smaller version that is now on the jersey, which can be seen in one of the photo matched pictures above. A terrific photo matched example complete with letter of honor and hailing from an All Star season.
