This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Vesa Toskala during the 2007-08 NHL season. Originally drafted by the San Jose Sharks in 1995, Toscala, a native of Finland, remained in Europe until the 2000-01 season. He would spend parts of 5 seasons with the Sharks before joining the Maple Leafs for the 2007-08 season. He spent 3 years in Toronto until a deal sent him to Calgary late in the 2009-10 campaign, his final NHL season. Vesa returned to Europe and played for AIK in the Swedish Elite League in 2010-11.
The game wear on this size 58 set 2 goalie cut sweater consists of numerous stick and puck marks, liberal amounts of goal post paint transfer on both sleeves, areas of pilling and a team-sewn repair high atop the chest. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Toscala wearing this exact jersey during the 2007-08 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Maple Leafs team letter.
