2007-08 Taylor Hall Windsor Spitfires Game Worn Jersey Rookie Tombstone 18 - Mickey Renaud Tribute - Photo Match Team Letter
Lot #209

This white knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Taylor Hall during the 2007-08 OHL season, his rookie year. The Edmonton Oilers selected Hall with the 1st overall pick in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. This Alberta native played three seasons of junior hockey for the Windsor Spitfires, leading them to back-to-back Memorial Cup Championships before making his NHL debut with the Oilers in 2010-11. Hall spent 6 seasons playing for the Oilers before a shocking trade sent him to New Jersey in the summer of 2016. Hall is now in his 3rd season with New Jersey and he is fulfilling all of the promise that the Devils saw in him. Hall has averaged nearly a point per game during his first 9 NHL seasons and he was awarded the Hart Memorial Trophy as the NHL’s MVP in 2017-18. In addition, Taylor was named 1st Team NHL All Star and he has already played in three NHL All Star Games.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Mickey Renaud “18”, to commemorate the tragic death of their Team Captain, which occurred on February 18, 2008. The game wear on this Tombstone style size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and heavy inner pilling. Shown above are a couple of beautiful photo matches of Hall wearing this exact jersey during the 2007-08 season, just prior to the passing of Mickey Renaud. Sewn to the inside hem is the official Windsor Spitfires game worn jersey tagging. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Hall’s own hand. Hall lit up the scoring sheets while wearing this jersey as a junior hockey rookie, scoring 45 goals in just 63 games after having started the season at just 16 years of age. Hall led the Spitfires to back-to-back Memorial Cup Championships and was paid the ultimate tribute by the club who retired his number 4 to the rafters in 2018, never to be worn again. A tremendous well worn patched and photo matched offering from the rookie year of the reigning NHL MVP! This jersey will be accompanied by a Spitfires team letter.
