The Montreal Canadiens selected Chipchura in the 1st round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Chipchura made his NHL debut in 2007-08 with the Canadiens. Kyle spent parts of three years in Montreal before moving on to represent the Anaheim Ducks for a couple of seasons and lastly the Phoenix Coyotes for five years. Following his NHL playing days, Chipchura went to Europe and spent three seasons playing in the KHL.
