Midway thru the year he was dealt to the Islanders. He spent the next two years with Tampa Bay and then spent parts of 3 more in Carolina. Weekes joined the New York Rangers after the NHL lockout and played on Broadway for 2 seasons before joining the New Jersey Devils for 2 seasons where he completed his career.
