Description
2007-08 Jeff Tambellini New York Islanders Game Worn Jersey – “Core of the Four” – Team Letter
Lot #340

This home white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Jeff Tambellini on March 2, 2008 during the Core of the Four game against the Florida Panthers at the Nassau Coliseum. The Los Angeles Kings selected Tambellini in the 1st round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at the University of Michigan, Tambellini made his NHL debut with the LA Kings in 2005-06. The New York Islanders acquired Jeff later that season and he played on the Island for parts of 5 years. Tambellini’s final NHL season was spent with the Vancouver Canucks, after which he went to Europe where he has spent five of the past six seasons.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Core of the Four patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is on the lighter side as would be expected. Shown above is a photo of Tambellini taken during the aforementioned Core of the Four game as the Islanders celebrated the 17 men who won 4 Stanley Cups between 1980-83. A beautiful black sharpie signature in Tambellini’s own hand resides on the back near the player number. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an Islanders team letter.
