2007-08 Dustin Byfuglien Rockford Icehogs Game Worn Jersey – “WWW” – AHL Letter
Lot #220

This home white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Dustin Byfuglien during the 2007-08 AHL season. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Byfuglien in the 8th round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. This Roseau, MN native made his NHL debut with the Blackhawks in 2005-06 and spent 5 seasons with the team that drafted him. During that span, Byfuglien won his first and only Stanley Cup Championship as the Hawks broke one of the longest championship droughts in sports. Less than a month after winning the Cup, Byfuglien was dealt to the Atlanta thrashers with whom he played in 2010-11. He transferred with the franchise to Winnipeg the following season and has spent the past 8 years wearing the Jets colors. Byfuglien, who recently crossed the 1000 PIMS mark, has already represented the Jets franchise in 3 NHL All Star Games.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the “WWW” patch to commemorate the passing of Blackhawks owner Bill Wirtz. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, Edge material pulls and pilling. Dustin played a total of 8 games in a Rockford uniform while wearing this sweater on home ice. In those 8 games, Byfuglien scored 2 goals and assisted on 5 others for 7 points to go along with 25 PIMS! A terrific offering that marked the final minor league season of this 3-time NHL All Star’s career. This jersey will be accompanied by an AHL letter.
