Description
2006 Matt Niskanen University of Minnesota-Duluth Game Worn Jersey
Lot #309

This white air-knit gamer by K1 was worn by Matt Niskanen during the 2006 WCHA season. The Dallas Stars selected Niskanen in the 1st round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. This Virginia, MN native played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth before making his NHL debut in 2007-08 with the Dallas Stars where he played for parts of four years before joining the Pittsburgh Penguins. Following parts of four years with Pittsburgh, Niskanen spent five seasons with the Washington Capitals where he celebrated the first Stanley Cup in franchise history in 2018. Matt joined the Philadelphia Flyers prior to the start of the 2019-20 season, his 13th year in the league.

The game wear on this size XXL sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and trauma and inner pilling. Nice example hailing from the brief two-year collegiate career of this veteran NHL defenseman.
