This home red air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Travis Zajac during the 2006-07 NHL season, his rookie year. The New Jersey Devils selected Zajac in the 1st round of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. After playing two years of college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota, Zajac made his NHL debut in 2006-07 with the Devils where he became a fixture at center ice for 15 seasons before retiring in 2021.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the New Jersey Devils 25-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Zajac wearing this exact jersey during the 2006-07 season. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Zajac’s own hand. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A beautiful patched and photo matched offering hailing from the outset of Zajac’s rookie season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Devils team letter.
