Description
2006-07 Travis Roche Phoenix Coyotes Game Worn Jersey – “Decade in the Desert” - Photo Match – Team Letter
Lot #279

This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Travis Roche during the 2006-07 NHL season. Roche spent two years playing college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota where he won the National Championship as a freshman in 2000. This gifted defenseman spent 88 games in a Fighting Sioux uniform and lit the lamp 17 times while adding 60 assists for an impressive 77 points. His stellar play earned him First Team All-American honors in 2001 in addition to a number of other Conference and National Awards. The Minnesota Wild noticed Roche’s talent and pried him away from UND a day after the 2001 Frozen Four. Roche spent 4 seasons in the NHL, playing 3 with the Wild and a final year with the Phoenix Coyotes. In between he starred in the AHL with Houston, Chicago and San Antonio before heading to Switzerland where he played for 6 seasons prior to a year each in Sweden and Austria.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Decade in the Desert patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Roche wearing this exact jersey during the 2006-07 season. A nice example that was worn prior to making the switch to #77. This jersey will be accompanied by a Coyotes team letter.
