2006-07 Steve Staios Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey Retro Team Letter
Lot #209
This blue air-knit gamer by Reebok and Elite Sportswear was worn by Steve Staios during the 2006-07 NHL season. The St. Louis Blues selected Staios in the 2nd round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. Staios broke into the NHL in 1995-96 with the Boston Bruins where he played for 2 seasons. Steve next headed northwest and took up residence in Vancouver. He remained with the Canucks for 2+ years before spending 2 seasons with the Atlanta Thrashers. In 2001, Staios joined the Oilers where he skated for 8 seasons, before a deadline deal sent him to Calgary in 2010. Steve spent the 2010-11 season with the Flames and spent his last year as a member of the New York Islanders. Staios amassed 1001 games of NHL service to go along with 1322 PIMS.

The Oilers wore these blue “Retro” jerseys on two occasions, both on home ice. They were worn on March 3rd 2007 against the Flames and again on March 17th 2007 against the Blues. Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, inner pilling and a partially torn front collar. On the back player number is a black sharpie signature in Steve’s own hand. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
