The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Caron in the 3rd round of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft. He tended goal for 3 years in Pittsburgh, then spent partial seasons with the Blackhawks and Ducks. Since leaving the NHL following the 2006-07 season, Caron has found work in Europe. He has played in the Swiss-A league, in Russia’s KHL and in Germany.
