This Chicago, IL native spent a couple of seasons with the US National Under-18 Team and then played his college hockey at the University of Wisconsin. He first played for the Marlies in 2005-06 and cracked the Leafs NHL lineup in 2007-08. He next joined the Minnesota Wild organization in 2008-09 and played for the Houston Aeros and Minnesota Wild over the next few seasons. Robbie later ventured to Austria where he represented Salzburg EC and has spent the past several years playing in the Swiss-A league.
