This purple and black air-knit jersey by Reebok was worn by Raitis Ivanans during Warm-ups on Luc Robitaille’s Jersey Retirement Night, January 20, 2007. Ivanans played for 7-years in the NHL, making his debut with the Montreal Canadiens in 2005-06 after a lengthy minor-pro career. This Latvian native served as an enforcer throughout his playing days where he consistently amassed high PIMS totals over the course of his entire career. Raitis played a lone season with Les Habitants, spent 4 seasons with the LA Kings and a final 2 years with the Calgary Flames.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Robitaille Retirement Night patch. Robitaille’s name and number adorn this sweater, as all of the Kings wore it in tribute to their Hall of Fame teammate during pre-game warm ups. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Ivanan’s own hand. Sewn to the inside hem of this size 58 sweater is “41 Ivanans”. This jersey will be accompanied by a Kings team letter.
