This white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Matt Smaby during the 2006-07 AHL season, his first year in the pros. The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Smaby in the 2nd round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota, this Minneapolis native made his NHL debut in 2007-08 with the Tampa Bay Lightning. Smaby played all four of his NHL seasons with the Lightning and also spent four years playing in Europe.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this 1st set size 58 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a couple of handfuls of team-sewn repairs. A nice example from Smaby’s rookie professional season. This jersey will be accompanied by an AHL letter.
