2006-07 Jason Smith Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey Retro Team Letter
Lot #153

This home blue air-knit gamer by Reebok and Elite Sportswear was worn by Jason Smith during the 2006-07 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected Smith in the 1st round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. After making his NHL debut in 1993-94 and spending parts of 4 seasons with the Devils, Smith played in parts of 3 more in Toronto before joining the Edmonton Oilers where he cleared creases for parts of 8 seasons. Smith’s final 2 NHL stops came in Philadelphia and Ottawa. This 15-year veteran played in 1008 NHL games and accumulated 1099 PIMS along the way.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Captain’s “C”. The sleeves on this gamer have been customized for Smith by the Oilers. The Oilers wore this set of Retro sweaters twice during the month of March, 2007. Their opponents in those two games were Calgary and St. Louis. The game wear on this 1st Retro set size 58 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is an image of Smith wearing this Retro gamer against the Calgary Flames. Penned in black sharpie on the back player number is a beautiful signature in Smith’s own hand. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Sewn alongside is the official Edmonton Oilers game worn jersey and set tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
