2006-07 Jason Blake New York Islanders Game Worn Jersey – “Garth Brooks” - 40-Goal Season - All Star Season - Photo Match – NHL Letter
Lot #200

This orange air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Jason Blake during the 2006-07 NHL season. Blake played 3 seasons of college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota before beginning his NHL career in 1999 in LA. This native of Moorhead, MN spent his first 3 seasons with the Los Angeles Kings in what would become a 13-year NHL career. Blake also represented the Islanders where he skated for 6 years, the Maple Leafs and the Anaheim Ducks. Blake set a career high when he netted 40 goals in 2006-07 with the Islanders, earning him a spot on the NHL All Star team. A year later, in his first season with the Leafs, Jason won the Bill Masterton Trophy.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Garth Brooks patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is light as would be expected. Blake and the Islanders wore these patched sweaters on January 13, 2007 as the Islanders hosted the New Jersey Devils. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Blake wearing this exact jersey during the aforementioned game. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A beautiful patched offering from Blake’s 40-Goal season that earned him a spot in that season’s NHL All Star Game. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL letter.
