This home orange air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Jason Blake during “Bob Bourne Night” on November 25th 2006 in the Islanders 4-1 victory on home ice against the Washington Capitals. Following 4 years of college at Ferris State and the University of North Dakota, this Minnesota native joined the Los Angeles Kings and began his NHL career. Jason is a veteran of 12 NHL seasons. He spent several years with the Kings before a 6-year stay with the Islanders, 3 more with the Leafs and most recently a couple in Anaheim. Blake was an NHL All Star in 2007 and was also the recipient of the Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy in 2008. On the international stage Blake has represented Team USA in the 2006 Olympics, the 2004 World Cup and a couple of World Championships.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the stunning Bob Bourne Night patch that signified his induction into the New York Islanders Hall of Fame in 2006. The game wear on this sweater is surprising for a one-gamer and shows a good many stick marks, board burns and board paint transfer. While wearing this sweater on Bob Bourne Night, Blake scored the Islanders first two Goals! Shown above are some photo matches of Blake wearing this exact jersey during Bob Bourne’s Hall of Fame Induction Night on what was a memorable night for Islanders fans. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A nice photo matched and patched offering donned by this US Olympian. This jersey will be accompanied by an Islanders team letter.
