This red air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Danny Richmond during the 2006-07 AHL season. The Carolina Hurricanes selected Richmond in the 2nd round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. This Chicago native spent 3 seasons in the NHL representing the Hurricanes initially before a deal sent him to the Blackhawks.
The 2006-07 season saw Richmond appear in 22 games for the Chicago Blackhawks. Danny spent 57 games patrolling the blueline that season for the Norfolk Admirals where he netted 10 goals and 34 points to go along with an impressive 144 PIMS. Offered here is Richmond’s 1st set gamer from that season. Sewn to the left breast is the alternate Captain’s “A”. Sewn to the right breast is the sponsorship patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a terrific 4” x 3” patched team sewn repair job. Also worthy of mention is the collar, which suffers from multiple stitch pops, no doubt coming at the hands of some angry opponents. This jersey will be accompanied by an AHL letter.
