This black swift gamer by Nike was worn by Chris VandeVelde during the 2006-07 WCHA season, his Freshman year. The Edmonton Oilers selected VandeVelde in the 4th round of the 2005 NHL Entry Draft. After playing 4 seasons of college hockey for the Fighting Sioux at the University of North Dakota and graduating in 2008, this Moorhead, MN native began his NHL career with the Oilers in 2010-11. Following 3 seasons in Edmonton, VandeVelde joined the Philadelphia Flyers where he is presently in his 4th season with the club.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 2007 St. Louis Frozen Four patch. The game wear on this size 62 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and heavy inner pilling. Shown above are a number of beautiful photo matches of VandeVelde wearing this exact jersey during the 2007 Frozen Four in St. Louis. An outstanding well worn patched and photo matched example from VandeVelde’s first season at UND! This jersey will be accompanied by a North Dakota Team Letter.
