This orange air-knit alternate by Reebok was issued for use by Alexei Zhitnik during the 2006-07 NHL season. The Los Angeles Kings selected Zhitnik in the 4th round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. This Kiev native made his NHL debut in 1992-93 with the LA Kings where he made a run to the Stanley Cup Finals as a rookie. Zhitnik spent parts of three seasons with the Kings before joining the Buffalo Sabres where he played for 10 years. Alexei wrapped up his15-year NHL career with stops in New York with the Islanders, the Philadelphia Flyers and the Atlanta Thrashers. Alexei returned to Russia in 2008 and played for Moscow Dynamo for a couple of seasons. In a career that spanned 1085 games, Alexei tallied an impressive 471 points and 1268 PIMS. He was twice an NHL All Star and also represented his native Russia in the 1992 Canada Cup, the 1996 World Cup, numerous World Championships and a couple of Olympics.
This 2nd set size 56 alternate was team issued and therefore shows no signs of use. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. This jersey will be accompanied by a Flyers team letter.
