This blue knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Tom Sestito during the 2005-06 OHL season. The Columbus Blue Jackets selected Sestito in the 3rd round of the 2006 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Rome, NY began his NHL career in 2007-08 with Columbus where he spent parts of 3 seasons before playing for the Philadelphia Flyers for 2 years and most recently the Vancouver Canucks for 3 seasons. Sestito, who stands 6’ 5”, played the role of enforcer and amassed 432 PIMS in his 137 game NHL career. His single season career best total of 213 PIMS came with the Canucks during the 2013-14 season.
Sewn to the shoulders of this gamer are the Compuware Sports Arena 10-year anniversary patches. The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Fight abuse also exists with the front collar being torn and subsequently repaired while the fight strap shows trauma of its own. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Sestito’s own hand. A nice patched offering donned by this NHL enforcer during his days in juniors.
