2005-06 Ryan Getzlaf Anaheim Mighty Ducks Game Worn Jersey - 1st NHL Assist & Point Rookie - Photo Match
Lot #148

This home jade air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Ryan Getzlaf during the 2005-06 NHL season, his rookie year. The Anaheim Mighty Ducks selected Getzlaf in the 1st round of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. Getzlaf made his NHL debut with Anaheim in 2005-06 and is now in his 13th NHL season, having spent the entirety of it with Anaheim. Getzlaf is now in his 8th season as the Ducks Team Captain, passing Paul Kariya and making him the longest serving Captain in franchise history. Entering 2017-18, Getzlaf had scored at nearly a point per game clip. His playoff stats are even more impressive with 118 points in 121 games played as he continues to climb the all-time playoff-scoring list. Ryan is putting together a most impressive career with appearances in 3 NHL All Star Games, a 2nd team NHL All Star selection at Center, a Stanley Cup title in 2007 and 2 Olympic Gold Medals for Team Canada!

The game wear on this 1st set size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Getzlaf wearing this exact jersey during the 2005-06 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. Getzlaf wore this 1st set sweater beginning in the preseason and then at the outset of the regular season. This included the October 14, 2005 game at home against Columbus when he recorded his first NHL assist and point. An important well-worn photo matched offering, donned by Anaheim’s beloved Captain at the outset of his NHL career, including the game that he notched his first NHL point, choice!
