Description
2005-06 Pierre Turgeon Colorado Avalanche Game Worn Jersey - Alternate - "10-year Anniversary" - Team Letter
Lot #311
This burgundy alternate air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Pierre Turgeon during the 2005-06 NHL season. This 19-year veteran was the 1st overall pick by the Buffalo Sabres in the 1987 NHL entry draft. He played for 5 seasons in Buffalo, before being dealt to the New York Islanders in a deal for Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine. Pierre spent 4 years on the Island, before moving about to Montreal where he would serve as Captain, St. Louis, Dallas and Colorado. In nearly 1300 games played, Pierre tabbed 515 goals and 1327 points. He won the 1992-93 Lady Byng Memorial Trophy awarded to the player who best exhibited sportsmanship and high ability. Having achieved the 500-goal plateau and averaging better than a point per game during his career, this 4-time NHL All Star will undoubtedly land in the Hall of Fame in the near future.

Sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Colorado Avalanche 10-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this 2nd set size 56 alternate is on the lighter side and was worn by Turgeon during his first year in Colorado. Sewn to the inside hem is the official NHL game worn jersey tagging. A nice patched alternate that was donned by this future Hall of Famer near the end of his career. This jersey will be accompanied by an Avalanche team letter.
