This Philadelphia Flyers jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. Ken’s collection focused intently on both of Pennsylvania’s NHL hockey teams. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.
This road white air-knit gamer by Reebok was worn by Mike Knuble during the 2005-06 NHL season. Knuble, who spent four years at the University of Michigan, is currently in his 15th NHL season and has clearly become the player many thought he would be. The past decade brought about an offensive turnaround after playing more of a defensive role during the early part of his career. His recent goal totals of 30, 21, 34, 24, 29, 27, 29 and 24 attest to his newfound skill set and shows his tremendous worth as an all-around player.
Offered here is Knuble’s road sweater from his first season with the Philadelphia Flyers, one that saw him set a career high with 34 goals. The game wear on this size 58 set 3 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a sizable team-sewn repair on the right shoulder. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Knuble wearing this exact jersey during the 2005-06 season. A terrific example worn during Mike’s career best 34-goal season. This jersey will be accompanied by an NHL letter.
It comes as no surprise that this Philadelphia Flyers jersey has solid game wear, as it was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection.
