This white knit practice jersey was worn by Matt Greene throughout the 2005-06 season and all the way thru game 7 of the Stanley Cup Finals during team practice sessions. The Edmonton Oilers selected Greene in the 2nd round of the 2002 NHL Entry Draft. This Michigan native played his college hockey at the University of North Dakota before beginning his NHL career with the Edmonton Oilers in 2005-06. As a rookie that season, Greene found a spot on the Oilers blueline and his hard-nosed edge helped his team to the Stanley Cup Finals where they fell to the Carolina Hurricanes in a brilliant 7-game series. Greene spent 3 years with the Oilers before joining the Los Angeles Kings where he played on their blueline for four years and won the 2012 Stanley Cup.
Practice use is evident on this rookie size 58 practice jersey in the form of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, sweat stains and inner pilling.
